PUBLIC SERVICE EXPERIENCE: Retired 30-year federal Wildland Firefighter with the US Fish & Wildlife Service. I’ve lived in Pulaski since 2012, and my wife’s family goes back several generations right here in District 3.
FINANCIAL STEWARD: Experienced in managing multi-million dollar regional budgets with federal oversight as the Regional Fire Management Coordinator for the USFWS Northeast Region.
CONSERVATION MINDED: Former Chair of NY Backcountry Hunters & Anglers; advocate for our public lands and traditions. Active member of the local National Wild Turkey Federation, (NWTF) chapter, Salmon River Strutters. A member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, (RMEF). I am an avid hunter; I love the pursuit of whitetail and especially wild turkey—two quarries that require patience and sometimes outside-the-box thinking to get the job done.
ROOTED IN COMMUNITY: Family is the foundation of society. I believe that investing in our children today is the only way to ensure a thriving community tomorrow. By prioritizing our next generation now, we aren't just spending—we're building a legacy of opportunity and setting a standard for leadership that lasts.
CRAFTSMANSHIP & CONTINUITY : I am a woodworker and a beekeeper; two pursuits that require patience, precision, and a thick skin. Whether I’m building in my shop or managing a hive, I believe in the value of hard work and staying on your toes to solve complex problems. I’ll bring that same 'builder’s mindset' to the County Legislature to ensure we are creating a stronger, more resilient future for District 3.
RESTORE BALANCE TO THE LEGISLATURE: Right now, the County Legislature is heavily lopsided. A 72% majority for one party means there is no real debate, but rather a conclusion. I am running to bring balance back to the table, ensuring District 3 has an independent voice that isn't just part of a "rubber stamp" majority.
SERVICE, NOT A CAREER: Public office should be a period of service, not a lifelong career. My opponent has held this seat for over 10 years. I believe in the "Citizen-Legislator" model. I’m running to serve our community, not to build a political career.
PROTECT OUR RESOURCES: From the Salmon River to our local farms and our public lands, I will use my 30 years of professional conservation experience to protect the natural resources that drive our local economy.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: I believe in a government that lives within its means. As a retired federal fire manager, I will use my 30 years of experience to find efficiencies, promote responsible, disciplined spending and maintain a balanced budget to reduce the burden on local taxpayers.
EQUAL TREATMENT FOR ALL: Every resident in District 3 regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, background or income will have a voice in Oswego County.
